Maharashtra State Open Shiksha Board (MSOSB) is an organization dedicated to providing non-formal self-employment education programs. MSOSB is not a board or council and is not equivalent to any government board or council. We do not guarantee further educational use or job placements.
MSOSB offers open learning facilities at pre-secondary and pre-senior secondary levels, akin to mock tests, across India and abroad. Our independent system features a unique curriculum and examination process, leading to the awarding of certificates. This initiative aims to address the educational needs of students and working professionals, both nationally and internationally.
MSOSB is established as an “Open Schooling Council” educational institute, operating as an autonomous national body under the Trust Society Act. Our primary objective is to promote and develop education among minority communities facing financial constraints, especially in remote areas. Our autonomous courses are designed by MSOSB itself, and certifications are issued by the council. We primarily run non-formal self-employment education programs without any guarantee for further educational use or job placements.
MSOSB provides open schooling opportunities for students unable to complete their education through regular modes. We operate under the statutory status granted by the Constitution of India, 1950, enabling us to admit students, conduct examinations, and issue marksheets and certificates. Our operations extend across India through affiliated study centers and authorized examination centers.
MSOSB is a self-financing body, covering all financial requirements through annual examination charges, institution affiliation fees, and student admission fees.Disputes involving students, members, teachers, employees, or other individuals associated with MSOSB are resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration Act, 1940. The decision of the arbitrator is final and binding on all parties.
